TITLE: Civil Engineer
DUTIES: Perform designs, calculations; analysis to produce plans and specifications for construction projects to include Site Grading, Roadways, Drainage Infrastructure, Utilities, Railroad, Barge and Dock Facilities, with all design work to be under the direction of a Licensed Professional Engineer in Responsible Charge. Perform mathematical computations for all manner of civil engineering projects and direct the production of design drawings. Plan and design roadways, railroads, drainage ways, utility projects, and associated structures to complete plans for public infrastructure projects. Inspect project sites to observe project progress and conformance to plans and specifications, and complete reports of findings. Design and implement plans and computer models and simulations using AutoCAD and Carlson 2-D or 3-D computer software. Analyze survey reports, maps, plans, and other relevant information for project planning; define scope of work for survey crews and Design Technicians. Budget construction costs and risk analysis for projects. Prepare feasibility studies to determine the most economical path forward for clients. Evaluate bid proposals, description of design or property, environmental statements and other topics for public distribution.
REQUIREMENTS: BS in Civil Engineering or an equivalent degree. Two years of experience in creating 2D and 3D designs, running simulations, analyzations and tests using AutoCAD and Carlson computer aided design software and mathematical calculations.
